UPDATE: I would like to clarify a couple of things about this auction. Like last year, 100% of the proceeds go to the LRPC as a fundraiser. Breeders/owners do not get a portion of the proceeds. Breeders/owners must buy their own birds back if they want their birds. I apologize if that was not made clear prior to now. ~ David
The LRPC 2011 Futurity bird auction has begun. We are auctioning the six birds that clocked in all four races. The auctions will end Sunday night, Oct. 30 at 9 p.m.
This is your chance to buy some proven race birds that have shown they have what it takes to home consistently and from distances as far as 280 miles as young birds.
Please use the widget on the right side of this page to view the details on the birds and to place bids.
Please note that Proxy bidding may be in effect. You may place a maximum bid and the auction system will bid for you up to but not beyond that price. If you make a bid and are immediately outbid, then someone else has placed a proxy bid and the auction system is placing the bid for them.
Shipping via USPS is $50 for one bird, plus $10 extra per bird up to four birds. Local buyers can contact David Stephenson for payment and pickup options.
If you have a bird remaining in the loft, but it is not one of the auction birds, please contact me if you want it returned.
Good luck bidding everyone!

The owner of the birds that are on auction shouldn’t be allowed to bid the price up on their own birds as they are only going to get half of it back anyhow and if they wanted to keep the bird they could have bought it back for the price of buyback after the race series ended. I feel they are doing nothing more than running the price up and that is called schell bidding and is illeagle.
