Northeast wind again this week for another slow race. Winning Speed was only 913.694 Yards Per Minute which is only 32 mph. Also with the northeast winds the returns were quite poor as a whole.

Birds were released at 9:15 Sunday morning under clear skies and winds out if the NE at 4mph.

The club will meet at Steve’s at 5:30 to counter mark birds ahead of the 150 mile race on Sunday. Set clocks for 6 pm as Kip will need to leave by 6:30 to get to Louisville in good time.
A small group of our pigeons passed over my house at 1:50. Apparently some of my birds are now headed for Johnny’s house again. 1 bird dropped out (a wing pied black or dark checker). It was wearing a red LKY band and a yellow countermark. Left after about 7 minutes
Okay club members. Check back here Thursday evening. I am supposed to hear from the Highview club tomorrow as to whether the race will be moved up to Saturday or not; due to 60% rain chances for Sunday. If it is moved to Saturday we will need to basket and ship Friday evening. Stay tuned.
