She raised and trained all of her fair birds herself, and according to the judge, her white was good enough to win, but was "kind of scruffy" in the feathers. (comes from being the only person flying actual racing pigeons, I guess). All of her competition were older adults, and whites were the largest class. Not bad for a 9 year old in her first year.
