Oneida OB race, May 1, 2009 (canceled)

UPDATE: There was no race on the May 1 weekend.

Due to the poor weather conditions, the club has decided to NOT ship birds on Friday night, May 1 as scheduled.

A decision will be made on Friday whether or not to ship on Saturday in order to race Sunday morning.

The results are in: Congrats to Bob Zerkle and Alberto Ramirez for finishing in the top four spots.

Update: John James reports that the birds were released at 6:45 a.m. Weather was great, he says.

The Lexington Racing Pigeon club gathered on Friday, April 24, 2009 to ship birds for Saturday’s race from Oneida. Members who shipped birds include Richard, Bob, John, David, Kip, and Alberto. A total of 92 birds were driven to Oneida by John.

The club will meet Monday night at 7 p.m. to open clocks.

This is a new strain from John James. Looks like a case of poison ivy.

First OB race for 2009 is canceled

Due to the inclement weather and lack of good training days, the club has decided to skip the first race on April 18 (Onieda, 100 miles).

At the next meeting, the club will decide wether or not to reschedule the race or just skip it altogether.
